NCC inculcate a spirit of discipline and patriotism amongst
the students. It helps to broaden their outlook and develop
the quality of leadership and spirit of fraternity. The
college unit offers Army and Navy Wing.
Rules
Student enrolled under NCC shall
be required to attend minimum 40 days parade in a session as
per schedule.
NCC cadet must collect their uniform from the NCC in-charge
at the beginning of the session.
Cadets should return the uniform to the NCC in-charge and
NCC units before the dispersal of the classes. The
university roll numbers will not be issued unless the full
uniform is deposited and all dues cleared.
Scholarship and Cash Awards
Awards and scholarship for NCC cadets of categories A, B and
C are motioned below :
Category A - Participation in Republic Day Camp, National
Competitions and Camps, Gold medalists, first position
holders and outstanding cadets.
Category B - Selection in pre-BLC, DCTAC-I, DCTAC-II, NIC,
HMT, second position holders, Silver medalists in camp.
Category C - Regular in NCC parade and deserving candidate.
Job Opportunities
Preference is given
to NCC cadets in recruitment to State Police Force, Army,
Air-Force and Navy.
Quota for cadets in multinationals.
Adventure
Opportunities
Cadets explore India during
various Trekking expeditions. They are sensitized to Indian
diversity in All India Leadership and Republic Day Camp.

The College has one unit of NSS. Number of seats being
limited, volunteer are enrolled on the basis of First COME
FIRST SERVED.
Objective
To enrich the students personality and deepen her
understanding of the social environment in which she lives.
To enhance Socio-Economic awareness and encourage the
student to impart the same to the illiterate community of
the area adopted.
To pursue Socio-Economic activities designed to tackle
special problem.
Others
One special excursion trip / picnic will be arranged for NSS
volunteer.
NSS volunteer would get a special 10% discount on the total
cost of all the college trips and tours.
Surprise attraction during the the annual 10 days camp.
Best NSS volunteer is honored at the Annual Prize

The Army Wing
enrolled fifty cadets who brought laurels to the college
by winning many wards at the Annual Training Camp. Rakhi
Nandal was warded the Best Cadet Award (Army Wing) in
ATC Camp - 217 held at CCET, Chandigarh.
The college Naval Wing
completed five years of its existence. The Naval
Wing enrolled forty students this year. The college
stood first in cultural activity, swimming, health and
hygiene, semaphore and in-ship modeling. The college
also received Silver medal in firing, seamanship and
health and hygiene.
The Air Wing of the college enrolled forty girls
this year. In Vayu Sena Camp Kirti and Richa selected to
represent the Chandigarh Squadron after a series of
theoretical examinations. Kirti bagged the Best Cadet
Award in Chandigarh Air Squadron NCC and won the trophy
by scoring highest marks in the camp.
The NSS unit of
the college organized a seven day camp with the
objective of constructing a competent and self
sustaining society.
The unit is collaboration with Chandigarh police
organized a lecture on Young Youth for Safe Society.
More than 500 students participated in this exceptional
program to ensure safety of senior residents. |
