Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh is a landmark institution of women's education and has become a stalwart presence in north India as a centre for learning. It is a matter of immense pride that the College has completed 50 glorious years of its inception and has imparted outstanding service to humanity in its 5 decade-existence. The College has rendered exemplary work in the fields of education, sports, culture and social service and has risen to emerge as one of the top 75 colleges of the country. Equipped with a team of highly qualified faculty members who have diligently upheld the DAV ethic and ethos and an unparalleled research potential, the journey of the College has been magnificent.

Owing to its excellence in varied fields, the College has been re-accredited with Grade A by NAAC. The institution has been awarded the Star Status by Department of BioTechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh is the first private aided college in the city to be approved as a Research Centre in the subject of English by Panjab University, Chandigarh. The institution continues to figure prominently in the annual listing of best colleges of India by various national dailies and magazines. It ranks among top 50 colleges at the national level, as per the surveys conducted by India Today and The Week magazine.
New Horizons is a double-blind, peer reviewed, multidisciplinary research journal that the college brings out annually. The journal has been in circulation since 2005 and has been devoted to promoting genuine research in diverse fields. The journal has a clear ethics and publication policy and a well-defined research policy. Papers are accepted throughout the year and authors are kept abreast with developments related to their submissions including peer reviews, approvals/ rejections/ suggestions, editing procedure and publication timelines.

Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of or as part of published lecture or academic thesis).  

New Horizons has tried its best to adopt the code of conduct and Best practice guidelines as recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics. The editors of the Journal abide by the ethical policies and standards to ensure the publication of high quality research work. The research paper must be accompanied with a certificate declaring that the work is an original piece of unpublished work. The editorial team takes publication ethics issues such as plagiarism, data falsification, inappropriate authorship credit etc. very seriously.

Authors have the right to reuse, archive and distribute their own article after publication.  
No publication fee is charged from the authors.
