(Liberalization, privatization and globalization)  have brought us to the threshold of information explosion resulting in constant proliferation of knowledge. The objective of Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application program is to equips the students thoroughly with necessary qualification, knowledge and skill for a rewarding career in IT industry. The program offers an experience based approach to the students. Technical expertise is the essence of the program. On successful completion of the program students can have their careers as Web Designers, Programmers, Computer based Accountants, Database Handlers and Computer teachers.

 

Eligibility for PGDCA

 

 A bachelor or Post Graduate degree in any discipline of the University or a degree of any other University which has been recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent there to with no less than 40% marks in the aggregate.

The revolution in the field of communication has created a huge demand for qualified and trained human resource in this area. Keeping in mind the growing demand, we started this course to equips the students with the latest academic knowledge and technical know-how to meet the challenges in this media world.

Curricular Aspects 

 

The various courses of study offer ample scope to the students to select a suitable course and supplement it with various multi-disciplinary additional options. The college runs degree classes in all the three traditional streams of education - Science,  Commerce, Humanities with Honours in eight subjects : E-Commerce, Economics, English, Hindi, History, Political, Science and Sociology. We have a total of 28 departments offering as many as 21 programmes. Presently, the college is running PG courses in English, Sociology and IT.

Realizing the importance of vocation as an essential parameter in the development of personality as a means of empower women, the college  runs various vocational courses. Professional Courses such as B.Sc.-MFT and BCA are also offered to the students. Since the objectives of the institutions focus on producing potential women, we equip them with qualifications to start their own enterprise as well with career-Oriented courses affiliated to Panjab University (UGC sponsored).

The college also provides a great deal of horizontal and vertical mobility to the students in the choice of core and non-core options and a lot of flexibility in the time frame within the constraints of the prescribed syllabi.
